"Thankyou so very much for giving E the wonderful experience of dancing in a show. She was still buzzing this morning and has proudly taken the programme into school for show and tell. We all really enjoyed the show and I did shed a few happy tears watching."

Shows

All students have the opportunity to perform in our whole school shows, which we work towards in classes and perform in a theatre. These are held every 18 months to showcase our dancers' super talent and are very much looked forward to and enjoyed by all.

Our previous shows have included 'Cinderella'  in 2016, 'NOW! That's What I Call Dance!', in 2017 and 'Dancing Through the Kaleidoscope' at The Joseph Rowntree Theatre in June 2019, which sold out! Shows provide a fantastic opportunity for students to work on performance skills and build confidence. The shows have full lighting and costumes, which students love trying on and keeping afterwards! The experience of taking part in a big show, performing in a theatre and having dressing rooms, whilst being looked after by our brilliant team of DBS checked chaperones, is very exciting and great fun.

Families and friends love seeing their children's beaming faces as they perform with pride. Our shows are always exciting events.

I.D.T.A. Exams

Hayley is an Associate Member of the International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA), and is pleased to offer exam opportunities to her students through this prestigious organisation.

Students have the opportunity to perform routines they learn in class for Freestyle medal tests. These exams offer a fun and relaxed environment for dancers to achieve in, with a very friendly atmosphere. We are very proud of our excellent results and 100% pass rate. We hold awards presentations and parties to celebrate afterwards, whcih are always lots of fun!. These optional exams see our dancers grow in confidence and strive to improve, but most of all, they offer a very enjoyable and fun performance opportunity!

Students have often left the exam room jumping up and down, asking when the next session will be, as they can't wait to do it again!
